About Me

Hi! I am so excited you are here! I'm really glad that you've gotten this far and want to know more about me. 

I have been in Law Enforcement since December 2011 and took an interest in becoming healthier as a whole in 2016. Fitness and exercise was more of a hobby at that point. Then, in 2017, I hit a very rough patch in my life. I found solace and calm in the constant counting of reps and feeling of soreness after a really good workout.  I took that feeling of relaxation and went to my own personal trainer.  After several months of working with my trainer, I realized this was something I really enjoyed doing. In 2018 into 2019, several friends and family members asked me to go with them to their gym and show them through a typical workout.  After each workout, they would tell me that I needed to become a trainer. 

I took that to heart and started taking courses to earn my Masters Degree in Health Education, Exercise and Fitness through the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services at the University of Cincinnati. I have since completed that and earned my degree in August, 2021. I am currently taking classes to fulfill the requirements to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist exam.

In 2020, just before COVID-19 took full effect here in the USA, I leapt into the world of personal training, sports nutrition and group fitness.  I took and passed the ISSA Personal Trainer exam in August of 2020 and became fully certified in September 2020. In March, 2021, I earned my certificates in Sports Nutrition and Group Fitness. Most recently, in May, 2022, I earned my Certification in Tactical Fitness. Now, as research and information changes in the nutrition world, I am working with Precision Nutrition to earn my Level 1 Nutrition Coaching Certificate.
